HAPPY CHEF

I am just loving the stamps from 'The Greeting Farm' at the moment and this little Fella is no exception!
His name is 'Happy Chef' and he is adorable.
The set comes with a range of accessory stamps to add to his tray, including Coffee, Cupcake, Cocktail Glass and a present. The word stamps are also from this set, and include others such as 'Celebrate' and 'Surprise'.
This is a good set for those 'tricky' male cards we all have so much fun making - lol!

The background stamp is an oldie from Hampton Art Stamps that I have had for years and found whilst tidying up my craft room. I'm so glad I held onto it, as it works really well with this set.

Thanks for looking, Katie.

YO-HO-YO-HO!

April is a Month of male birthdays for my family, and I normally find it difficult to come up with a suitable card (why are men so awkward!), not this time however!
I have made this Pirate card for my cousins little boy using the super cute Pirate stamps from High Hopes. The stamps on the front of the card are 'Peg Leg Pete', 'Thundering Rouge' and 'Birthday Caarrghd' sentiment. I also found some DP in my stash which was perfect - decorated with a map of the world and used inside and out.

The stamps used inside were the 'Yo-Ho-Yo-Ho' sentiment and treasure map (both have been stamped and distressed with brown ink) and the Treasure Chest, to which I added extra sparkle with gold and candy cane Stickles.

Thanks for looking, Katie.

HOPPY EASTER!

Congratulations to Amy (http://amyscraft.blogspot.com/2009/03/spoon-full-of-sugar-little-gem.html) who won last weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge, your prize of Sporty Edwin is on his way! This weeks challenge is for Easter Creations, and I have used this as inspiration for today's card.
I have used 'For You' from Ladybug and Friends for my image and coloured with water colours. I layered the image onto pastel coloured card, and added ribbon and an embossed flower from Prima to finish. I love these super cute Ladybug stamps, they are so detailed and versatile and just wonderful to colour.

Thanks for looking, Katie.

PINK TILDA

I have been saving a few chipboard shapes for ages, only I'm not sure why! So I decided to dig them out and have a play, and created this handbag shaped card using Magnolia's 'Pink Tilda/ Ballet Princess' stamp.

I covered the chipboard shape in decorative paper (both sides) and added a concertina of folded card stock at the back to support the card and to write a message.
The front was decorated with a horizontal strip of ribbon for Tilda to sit on, and embellished with Prima flowers and a princess crown charm.
I also added a few spare ribbon strands to the handle to finish. I chose to use a Pink and black colour combo again, and love the effect they give - they are really bold and eye catching! This pink Tilda looks slightly more grown up to me, more of a sassy teenager! And for every Pink Tilda bought, a donation is made to the Pink Ribbon charity.

Thanks for looking, Katie.

A LITTLE BIT RETRO!

Morning all, today I thought I would post a couple of cards before I jet off to work, and neither of them are mine (shock-Horror!).

First up we have the super cute 'Pretty Hat Anya' which was created by Colette. We both love the stamps from The Greeting Farm, and Col decided that she had to have One of these as soon as she saw them. We think she look a little 'Retro' in a 1920's Glamorous style!

The second card for today was another display card which was made by my Mum for yesterdays show. She chose Sarah Kay's 'Rosalie's Bicycle' from Stampavie, and again went with an older more vintage look. I think these stamps work well with this style as they have a element of 'time gone by' about them, and teamed with the Rose coloured papers and lace this card looks fab!

We would just like to say a big hello to everyone we met yesterday at the Metrodome in Barnsley, it was lovely to see some new faces and meet you all.

Thanks for looking, Katie.

DISPLAY!

It has been a busy week getting ready for our show on Sunday, at Barnsley's Metrodome. We have been try to get some new display cards and craft creations made up for the show, and this has led to minimal blogging (apologies for that!). I thought I would quickly show one of the cards now and try and pop back later with more.

For this card I have used Tilda with Hearts, and she is a real sweetie! The ribbon and flowers are from Prima, and I just love the blue brown colour combo!

Off to work now, thanks for looking, Katie.

WHAT A GEM!

Today we are sponsoring 'A Spoon Full of Sugar' and the challenge is to use Gems somewhere on your card. I am a total Magpie and love all things sparkly, so this is a great one for me :)
For my card I Have used the beautiful 'Rose's Garden' stamp from Stampavies Sarah Kay collection and the large gems in the middle of the flowers are Primas Centre Kisses.

The Prize you can win is a Sporty Edwin from Magnolia.
Good luck to everyone who enters and thanks for looking, Katie.
